I purchased the game and have been trying to play it. The graphics are great, the program is very realistic in its response to commands. I am a retired U.S. Coast Guard Chief Bosn's Mate so I have experience in what to expect from throttle, rudder and bow thruster commands. My issue with this game is technical. I am operating a brand new Dell with a Intel I7 chip, 6GB of Ram, and a 1TB HD. I have a new video card on order to see if that will make the situation better. The installation was a problem, it finnally installed on the 4th attempt. This game loves to crash! I have to constantly save the game I am playing to make sure I don't lose any data. (What is funny is that the trial version did not crash at all! Go Figure?) The tech support forum is of very little help. I Love and Hate this game all at the same time! Not too bad with sim loading time. Pain to configure joy stick and missions are painfully long and boring.25% fun - 75% omg am i ever going to get there! I will say i own many sim games from Micro X gold to train and fighter jet sims and this game does run pretty smooth. Worth owning, but don't make plans for 2 days if you desire to make any progress in the game. |
