The governor of Massachusetts has sent Constable Hawthorne to investigate the rumors. Playing as Inspector Hawthorne, it is up to you to find the four girls, cure them, and find out why they were acting so strangely. "Hidden Mysteries: Salem Secrets - Witch Trials of 1692" is an excellent hidden object/puzzle game. Although it is not part of the Mystery Case Files series, it easily could be and it reminded me a bit of Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst. The game is untimed and there is no penalty for clicking incorrectly - a plus in my mind. The creators of the game do a good job of creating an eerie Salem where residents are afraid of witchcraft. I have being doing the Nancy Drew games for a few years. I found this game absolutely intriguing and thought provoking and such a refreshing change from alot of the hidden object games as there was alot more to do than just search an area and move on. I would highly recommend this challenging and exciting game.
